Looking for something to do in Chicago to celebrate Mother’s Day this year? This “Chicago Tradition” has you covered with what’s happening in Chicago!

We especially love the Susan G. Komen Chicago Mother’s Day Race for the Cure event in Grant Park. It may not be the quiet Mother’s Day brunch you envisioned, but what better way to show Mom you love her than by coming together in the name of women’s health? It’s a great way to spend a day with your mom and help fight a disease plaguing moms worldwide.

If you would prefer a nice Sunday brunch with your mom on Mother’s Day, try visiting the iconic Brookfield Zoo, just outside of the city limits. They will be hosting their special Mother’s Day Brunch at the zoo’s Discovery Center.

There are also a variety of Mother’s Day brunch cruises on Lake Michigan that our friends at Choose Chicago have been so kind to share.

Another cute idea for a Mother’s Day celebration in Chicago is a special showing of the film Mamma Mia! at the Music Box Theatre. If your mom is a fan of music, this is the perfect way to let her relax and just enjoy a film!

Last but certainly not least, we would of course recommend gifting some delicious Garrett Popcorn!

Maybe a Garrett Signature Pink Tin of our Chicago Mix or perhaps the Chocolate Lover’s Gift Set would do the trick?

Garrett Popcorn was born and raised in Chicago, so of course we’re rooting for our hometown hockey team during the Stanley Cup Playoffs!

Last weekend, the Chicago Blackhawks beat their rivals from St Louis to advance to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. As the defending Stanley Cup champions, the Blackhawks will continue their defense against the Minnesota Wild tonight at the United Center.

As “A Chicago Tradition,” Garrett Popcorn would like to congratulate the ‘Hawks on advancing to the next round and wish them the best of luck against the Wild.

Blackhawks Tin

It’s already been an exhilarating Cup defense for Chicago, with star players Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews each scoring decisive game-winning overtime goals against the Blues in Game 4 and Game 5, respectively, of the first round.

Adrenaline was flowing in the Garrett Popcorn offices during the dramatic first round, and we’re looking forward to even more excitement in the next round!

With the second round getting underway tonight, now is the perfect time to stock up on game time snacks while also showing your Blackhawks pride. Stop by one of our Shops or go online to get the Chicago Blackhawks Tin and fill it with your favorite Garrett Popcorn.

We won’t tell you which flavor to get, but we don’t think you could go wrong with The Chicago Mix as the ‘Hawks try to bring Lord Stanley back to The Windy City!

It’s Playoff Season in Chicago!

Our two beloved residents at the United Center, the NHL‘s Chicago Blackhawks and the NBA‘s Chicago Bulls, are making their push to bring home more silverware to The Windy City.

Playoff Push

These two teams are no strangers to trophies. The Blackhawks are the reigning Stanley Cup champions, and have lifted Lord Stanley twice in the past four years. Silverware has been a bit more scarce for the Bulls in recent times, but no one can forget the six NBA titles delivered to Chicago during the 1990′s Michael Jordan era.

Since Garrett Popcorn is Chicago born and raised, we are celebrating two of our teams making the postseason with a special Playoff Package!

Let Garrett Popcorn Shops take care of the treats during this years’ Playoff Push with our limited time offer of 2-for-1 UPS ground shipping. Enjoy this Playoff Package with two, 1-gallon Tins filled with The Chicago Mix. It’s a winning combination!

Don’t let this deal pass you buy. Get both our Blackhawks Tin and Bulls Tin today to showcase your Windy City pride!
