Mmm, ice cream!
On Friday and Saturday, two stores will give free samples of CaramelCream ice cream to people in line. Customers at 4 East Madison will be treated to the soft-serve version, while customers at 625 N Michigan Avenue will receive scoops of ice cream.
CaramelCream, in case you hadn’t heard, is a swirled combination of CaramelCrisp® and Vanilla Popcorn flavors, topped with delicious CaramelCrisp® popcorn.

The CaramelCream ice cream is a new this year, and already becoming a crowd favorite. Be sure to try this swirl of caramel and vanilla popcorn, topped with CaramelCrisp® popcorn!
To celebrate our third year at the Taste of Chicago, Garrett Popcorn will debut a combination of ice cream flavors: Caramel Cream and Vanilla Popcorn topped with bits of our famous CaramelCrisp®. A cup of this delectable frozen dessert will run 8 tickets.
We will also bring back crowd favorite, the Popcornsicle, along with bags of the Chicago Mix, a half-pound mix of cashews, almonds, pecans, fliberts, pistachios, and brazil nuts. “Taste of” items this year will include a vanilla popcorn ball and a sampler size of the mixed nuts.
The Taste of Chicago starts Friday, and we look forward to seeing everyone there. If you stop at Booth 22, don’t forget to “check in” to our Taste of Chicago Foursquare location with your smart phone. We’ve got some fun things planned for our mayor as well as periodic flash specials.
