Kernels for Kids

From August 22 through September 6, Garrett Popcorn Shops will donate $4 from every tin purchased in stores to Chicago Public Schools.

Tins can be purchased at any of our nine Chicago locations: 625 North Michigan Avenue, Navy Pier, Merchandise Mart, 26 West Randolph, 4 East Madison, 2 West Jackson Boulevard, Ogilvie Transportation Center at 500 West Madison, and in terminals 1 and 3 of O’hare International Airport.

Donations will be made for 1, 2, 3.5 and 6.5 gallon tins only and does not include popcorn bags, beverages, merchandise or any other in-store purchase.

We’re pleased to partner with Chicago Public Schools for this program and to support Chicagoland kids as they start another school year!

  1. I am so glad that someone is trying to help the Chicago Public School system. I went to school in Chicago. I now live in a city out of state that has a great school system. I wish Chicago had the same for the kids that has to go to school there. I wish more people would care. I really wish someone would start an online school system where kids who are scared to go to school could have this option. Where I live today, there is an online school where kids can get there education, and it works very well. Kids actually graduate from high school when normally they would drop out of high school.

    • Vanessa,

This company has been in Chicago for over 60 years, and it’s important to everyone at Garrett Popcorn to give back to the community that has given so much to us. Thank you for your kind words and for recognizing the importance of education to the success of children everywhere!
