During the month of October, Garrett Popcorn Shops will once again join the fight against breast cancer by donating 10 percent* of their Signature Striped Pink Tin sales to Chicago-based A Silver Lining Foundation® (ASLF), a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides access to cost-free mammograms and diagnostic follow ups.
Now entering into an unprecedented third year of partnership, Garrett Popcorn Shops has donated a total of $24,000 over the past two years to ASLF. Thanks to the generosity of Garrett and their fans, these donations have helped uninsured women receive the mammograms and diagnostic testing critical for early detection and breast cancer treatment through ASLF’s Buy Mom a Mammogram program.

“We treasure our relationship with Garrett Popcorn Shops. Through their support of our program, well over 200 lives have been eased and saved,” says ASLF founder and breast cancer survivor Dr. Sandy Goldberg.

A Silver Lining Foundation works to ensure that socioeconomic status does not affect an individual’s ability to obtain information, a timely cancer screening and diagnosis. The mission is to ensure dignified, respectful and equal access to quality cancer education and services for all, by creating meaningful partnerships with community, advocacy and healthcare organizations. The Garrett Signature Striped Pink Tin is available in one and two gallon sizes in Chicago, Las Vegas and New York City Shops and online. The “Shorty Pack,” 12 one-quart Tins, is also available online. Tins can be filled with a choice of traditional Garrett flavors like CaramelCrisp® (which can be selected with almonds, pecans or cashews), CheeseCorn™, Buttery, Plain and the famous The Chicago Mix – blending CaramelCrisp’s sophisticated sweetness with the savory goodness of CheeseCorn.
