Today kicks off the beginning of A Javanese Affair at Alliance Française, a week-long celebration of Indonesian culture in Singapore. Focusing on the culture surrounding the Merapi volcano in Central Java, the exhibition features a showcase titled “Merapi: Beyond the Myths by Heri Dono from Indonesia.” The week’s program also includes a discussion forum, film screening, dance performance and craft exhibition.
